Jing.ly names are on the rise, with over 7,000 domains been registered so far.

Libyan Spider Network alone, one of the biggest registrars, has sold near.ly 4,500 .ly domains.

Libyan Spider Network remains the key player in the industry with some three quarters of all .ly sales.

Country wise, English speaking players form the majority of customers.

With pretty much of one-word names been taken, people now go for double-word hacks, e.g., actquick.ly etcetera.

    A very good progress indeed, back in October 2009 this number was 6000 and back in January 2009 – 5000 (total .ly registrations).

    For LSN it was 5000 in December 2009 and 4000 August 2009.

    At .ME people are going for four words combinations already, e.g.: petlivingwith.me
